NEW CHAIRMAN AT ENDIAMA EP AND SODIAM

Eng.º Carlos Sumbula was today appointed, by the Council of Ministers, as the new President of the Board of Directors of ENDIAMA EP, replacing the economist Manuel Arnaldo de Sousa Calado, who has been in charge of the diamondiferous company from 2001 and 2009, announced RNA.

Changes also took place at the Board of Directors of SODIAM SARL, having Santo António Silva as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors. Until this day, Santo António was the Administrator of the Diamond Trading at SODIAM.

To this moment, there are still questions about when the new board directors will effectively move in, the announcement of any changes or if will continue with the same executive board of administration and directors.

The Board of Directors occupied by Manuel Calado was responsible for the diversification of the company’s activity, the gathering of old and new company leaders, creation of new branches and the international expansion of the company.

Manuel Arnaldo de Sousa Calado was born December 25th 1958 in Kwanza North province and holds a degree in Economics, by the Lisbon Technical Superior Institute.

Manuel Caldo started his connection to the diamondiferous world in 1977, at the Ministry of Geology and Mines.
