In the field of education

The Fundação Brilhante, is the social face of ENDIAMA, which in partnership with the mining projects, invests in the development of education and has also developed several philanthropy projects.

In this way, the Fundação Brilhante builds, equips schools and distributes school material every year to the communities of the Lundas Norte and Sul.

School Meals Programme – Lunda-Sul (in operation) – Production and distribution of school meals (2 sandwiches + soy milk kit) for children aged 07 – 12 years, in 30 schools. Factory installed in Vila Sagrada Esperança de Saurimo – production of 22,000 snacks a day, combating school dropouts and improving the diet.

Construction / Rehabilitation of Schools

Delivery of Escola de Nharea – Bié (2014) – Completion and delivery of Nharea School, in Bié province, to support and increase the number of public-school classrooms.

Total number of beneficiaries: 560 Students

Escola do Demba Chio – Luanda (2017) – Construction of a Social Complex including a Primary School and 1 cycle, 8 classrooms, computer room and administrative area, a Health Post, two support houses, type T2 for 8 residents, a Jango for the community, rehabilitation of the community chapel, Solar Public Lighting of the Village and tree planting of the Social Complex in a perimeter of 300 plants. Total number of beneficiaries: 570 students.

School – Luanda (2011) – Restoration and expansion of the school near the Navy – Ilha de Luanda.

School – 1114 Luanda (2011) – Construction of a school in the space where it used to be the Zoo – Ilha de Luanda. Total number of beneficiaries: 1365 Students.

Xá-Muteba School – Lunda-Norte (2014) – Construction of the Escola Xá-Muteba, first cycle. Includes the delivery of motorbikes, to support the school’s teachers.

Completion of Caungula Social Project – Lunda-Norte – Social complex, municipality of Caungula – Construction from scratch and equipment. It includes: School of 13 classrooms (1125 students); Male boarding school (50 boarders); Female boarding school (50 boarders); Nun’s house (T6); Priests’ house (repair, T6); Chapel (200 people).
